What are the age & size requirements for puppies & kittens?
Puppies and kittens must be over 8 weeks of age and generally 20lbs. or less, and under 13″ tall. They must be able to stand up and turn around comfortably in the carrier.
Pets must have a health certificate issued by a licensed veterinarian within 10 days of travel.
Will my pet be flying via confirmed flight or standby?
We fly confirmed flights ONLY. It is too risky to fly with a young animal and not have a guaranteed seat and pet reservation on the plane.
What kind of insurance do you have?
We carry commercial pet insurance through PCI. Travel insurance is included in your quote, which helps ensure we can navigate travel delays or flight cancellations easily, at no cost to you.
When do I need to book my pet’s trip with you?
Generally, booking at least 3-4 weeks in advance will give us the most flight options at the best price.
I do not have a carrier. Do you provide them?
I do have carriers available for rent or purchase. Rental carriers are thoroughly sanitized and disinfected prior to use. I highly recommend purchasing a carrier for a puppy or kitten that has not finished the first series of vaccinations.
I have two pets. Can you fly with both of them?
In many cases, yes! If they are puppies or kittens from the same litter and under 20 lbs. together, they may fly in the same carrier. Likewise, if they are known to get along with each other, and size/weight allows, they may travel in the same carrier. In some cases, I can fly with two different carriers if necessary (ie. a cat and a dog). Please inquire when requesting a quote!
What if I have a larger dog?
Ground transportation may be an option, or your dog may go in a kennel under the plane, and I will be the guardian to make sure they get on the flight and off the flight without issue. Contact us to talk about the different options available!
